Vented kitchen caddies of the STELO series are designed to reduce moisture and prevent the build up of anaerobic bacterial activity of the organic waste.  Unpleasant odours are avoided and moisture is evaporated by transpiration through the compostable liner and perforated lid, walls and ribbed base. 
 
This kind of bins, combined with a composable/biodegradable bag (Mater-Bi, etc.) allows to reach 4 main targets:

• reduces unpleasant smells caused by anaerobic bacterial activity;
• Avoids the build up of liquids at the base, through evaporation;
• Decreases the weight to be collected, by reducing moisture by up to 30%;
• Improves the quality of segregation, collection and the composting process.
